3. Develop an Intercultural Buddy System to help new employees build relationships across cultural groups.



4. Recruit and retain interculturally competent human resource officers



5. Do not avoid conflict. Form an in-house Conflict Response Team that can proficiently respond to conflict.



6. Strive to include diversity at every level of the organization's decision making.



7. Coach and counsel individuals who fall in intercultural competency.



8. Develop an intercultural mentoring program to support retention and promotion.



9. Have clear, culturally-sensitive, performance objectives-- especially for management.



10. Train effective intercultural communication skills among employees at all levels of the organization.
