Chevening/University of Leicester Shared Scholarships
Three scholarships available for citizens of India,
under 35 years of age, who have been accepted for an approved one-year
postgraduate course at Leicester University, beginning September
2000. Candidates should have a first-class Master's degree (or in
exceptional circumstances, a first-class Bachelor's degree with
distinction) of a reputable Indian university. The criteria for
selection are academic excellence, leadership potential and subject
areas relevant to India's economic, social and scientific development.
Candidates should submit a full and formal application by 31 March,
2000. Potential candidates will be sent a Scholarship for India
Application Form, which they must complete, and return to the International

Chevening/University of Warwick Shared Scholarships
The programme offers two scholarships, that are
available for citizens of India, under 35 years of age. One is for
an LLM programme in Law in Development or in International Economic
Law and one is for any taught postgraduate degree course offered
by the University of Warwick. Candidates should have a first-class
Master's degree (or in exceptional circumstances, a first class
Bachelor's degree with distinction) from a reputable Indian University.
The criteria for selection are academic excellence, leadership potential
and subject areas relevant to India's economic, social and scientific
development. Applicants should ensure that they have already returned
an application for postgraduate studies to the Graduate Office at
Warwick, either prior to or in conjunction with the scholarship's
application form. The closing date for applications is 15 April,

Chevening/ University of Hull Shared Scholarships
Four scholarships are available for one-year postgraduate
scholarships beginning September 2000. The Master's programmes include
an MA in Legislative Studies, Global Political Economy, Political
Philosophy, Security Studies, International Law and Politics,
Southeast Asian Studies. Scholarships will be awarded
to citizens of India, under 35 years of age who have obtained a
first class honours' degree from an Indian university. Candidates
should complete University of Hull Application Forms by 30 April,
2000 and send this to the Admissions Secretary, Department of Politics,
University of Hull, Hull, and HU6 7RX, United Kingdom. They should
indicate that they wish to be considered for these scholarships.
Cable
and Wireless College
The Cable and Wireless College in partnership with
Coventry University, has developed a unique Master of Science degree
in Operational Telecommunications. This MSc provides an integrated
programme of Management, Operations and Telecommunications Engineering.
It enables people from businesses involved with the provision of
telecommunications to manage things more effectively in a constantly
changing environment. The programme is designed for those working
in the industry, particularly experienced engineers and for those
