University of Cambridge British Chevening/Nehru
Centenary Shared Scholarships
Five scholarships to enable students of outstanding
academic merit to study for a second bachelor's degree as an affiliated
student in relevant subjects at the University of Cambridge. The
scholarships are open to citizens of India (normally under the age
of 26) who have gained an offer of a place at the Cambridge University
to pursue undergraduate studies as an affiliated student from October
2000. The scholarships are normally tenable for a maximum of two
years. Candidates should have applied for admission directly to
a Cambridge college of their choice and should have submitted completed
application forms for admission to the College by 15 October, 999.

British Chevening/Cambridge Nehru Shared Scholarships
Three scholarships to enable graduates from India
to pursue a course of research leading to a degree of PhD at the
University of Cambridge. The scholarships are open to citizens of
India, normally under the age of 26, who have a first class honors
degree or its equivalent and should be successful in winning an
ORS award, which pays the difference between the home and overseas
rate of the university composition fee. The scholarships are normally
tenable for up to three years. Candidates should have completed
the preliminary application.
Forms should be filled in by September 1999 and
returned to the Nehru Trust for Cambridge University, Teen Murti
House, Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi -110 011.
Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine
British Chevening/Imperial College Shared Scholarships
Two scholarships are offered to Indian graduates
to pursue a higher degree course of study at the Imperial College
of Science, Technology and Medicine. The candidates should be Indian
nationals and currently residents of India. They should be graduates
of a recognized Indian university, already holding a first class
honours degree with distinction. (The MBA course and the course
in Medicine are not included in this scholarship scheme). The closing
date for submission of application forms is 30 April 2000. Further

London School of Economics and Political Science
British Chevening/Indian Friends of the LSE Shared
Scholarships
Two scholarships are offered in collaboration with
the Indian Friends of the LSE in Mumbai. These are for pursuing
a one-year Master's programme at the LSE beginning September 2000.
Candidates should be Indian nationals and currently residents of
India, under 35 years of age and holder of a first class Master's
degree from a recognized Indian university. Application forms for
admission can be obtained from London School of Economics and Political
Science, Houghton Street, London WC2A 2AE.
Only those holding confirmed admissions are eligible
to apply for this scholarship. For further information and scholarship
forms please contact the BC office in Mumbai or the offices in Delhi,
Chennai and Calcutta.The last date for applications is 31 May, 2000.
